The creator of Hardest Exam Questions, Allison has over 10 years of experience tutoring students for the SAT® and advanced math classes. Allison has a Master's in Mathematics from Claremont Graduate University, where she received fellowships from the National Science Foundation and Los Alamos National Lab. As an undergraduate at Scripps College, she was the only student in her class to double major in Mathematics and English and, upon graduating, she received the Reed Institute's award for "Excellence in Problem Analysis and Problem Solving in Decision Science." She has experience teaching high school Precalculus classes, training new tutors for Kaplan Test Prep, and tutoring college level English and mathematics. She also scored a perfect 2400 when she retook the SAT® as an adult.
Over her years of teaching and tutoring experience, Allison identified which math questions
students struggled with the most and which strategies helped them prevail. Since most study
materials focus on medium difficulty questions and concepts, Allison often wrote her own
questions for her most advanced students. This is where Hardest Exam Questions began. Allison
created Hardest Exam Questions to provide high achieving students access to her SAT® questions,
explanations, and lessons, all of which focus only on the hardest problems.
The first course available through Hardest Exam Questions is The Hardest SAT® Math Word
Problems. Over the years, Allison found that word problems are often covered insufficiently in
school and there are no SAT® prep courses or books dedicated solely to word problems. Since
many students struggle with word problems the most, Allison decided to start here. Next, she
plans to expand Hardest Exam Questions to include the following High Difficulty SAT® Math
sections:
- Geometry
- Algebra
- Arithmetic
- Statistics
- Grid-In Questions
Once she has developed a thorough and comprehensive high difficulty SAT® Math prep course,
she will expand to the Verbal sections of the SAT®, as well as other tests and courses.
The web architect, Christy Dillard designed and created the website Hardest Exam Questions. Christy has a B.A. in Studio Art from St. Kate's University and, like her sister has several years of experience tutoring English and math to high school students. She gained her expertise in the technical, aesthetic and functional aspects of website design through several years of experience developing fun and interactive websites for independent shops and online entertainment.
